ATREE Academy launches PREP(Preparing, Researchers, Educators and Practitioners) Talks

Content: Navigating a PhD programme is challenging and demands immense discipline and dedication. As part of its graduate extension services, the Academy for Conservation Science and Sustainability Studies launched PREP Talks, an invigorating initiative for PhD students. .

PREP Talks is a bi-monthly talk series by experienced resource persons from within and outside ATREE.  They will advise and share stories and ideas for reading and writing habits, and general student well-being. Topics will range from grammar, to procrastination avoidance to resistance theatre, to sustainability to mental and physical health. The intent of the talk is to help the students gain novel and implementable insights and knowledge.

PREP Talks offer a plethora of opportunities to create leaders, engage with different kinds of knowledge and make an impact in the world.

The first PREP talk was by ATREE's Veena Srinivasan, Shikha Lakhanpal and Jagdish Krishnaswamy on the 'Socialisation of Research'. They had an engaging discussion with the students on the importance of building and maintaining professional networks.
