Workshop: Becoming an Emotionally Intelligent Researcher

The Academy for Conservation Science and Sustainability Studies, ATREE is organizing a two-day workshop titled Becoming an Emotionally Intelligent Researcher on February 12th and 13th which will be conducted by Dr. Shamim Modi.  To be an effective, ethical and sensitive researcher one has to work towards enhancing one's emotional competencies to deal with diverse situations demanding decision making, sometimes  in stressful environment. By developing personal and social competencies of self-awareness, self regulation and interpersonal communication skills, one can refine one's role as a researcher.

 
The 2-day workshop on “Becoming an Emotionally Intelligent Researcher” will be pedagogically based on learning about personal and social competencies through experiential exercises  and summing it up by discussing its relevance in various research situations. The outcome of the experiential learnings from the workshop would also enhance emotional competencies to deal with situations in  personal lives.
 
Dr. Shamim Modi presently chairs the Centre for Law and Society under the School of Law, Rights and Constitutional Governance at TISS and has been extensively engaged with conducting trainings and workshops with IPS, IFS , IAS, CISF, etc on the issue of Emotional Intelligence for Effective, Efficient and Sensitive functioning.
