I am an environment and development professional with 15 years of experience. I did my masters and M.Phil in Environment management from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and started the career as an environmental education officer with the Mahatma Gandhi University. In 2005 I joined Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) and am currently coordinating the Community Environmental Resource Center, (CERC) a field academy of ATREE in Alappuzha, Kerala. Over the years I have completed many action research projects in wetland conservation and am specializing in the Communication Education Public Awareness (CEPA) aspects of wetland management. I have developed numerous new initiatives in the area including the wetland festivals, student’s wetland congress, Vembanad fish count, wetland on wheels etc. I also serve as an expert member in the District Environmental Appraisal Committee and the Technical support group of biodiversity board.
