Pallavi Varma Patil
Pallavi has joined ATREE from Azim Premji University, Bangalore, India where she was a faculty from 2012 - 2023 . She taught in three Masters programmes - Masters in Development, Masters in Education, Masters in Public Policy as well as a core course in an Undergraduate programme. There were three focus areas in her teaching: 1. Gandhi’s vision of a Good Society ; 2. Gandhian Education for Sustainable Futures under which she also led ‘The Ragi Project’-- a millet school farming project in an urban school ; and 3. 'Living Utopias' – a course curating stories and examples of world-wide alternatives focusing on the interface of Environment and Development. She has also taught these ideas outside of the university through short courses, community level trainings, and certificate courses.
At ATREE-India, Pallavi leads a portfolio of Environment Education. She also spearheads the non-degree programme at ATREE Academy to design and offer short courses for various actors in the broad area of sustainability and education.
