Identification of Elite types, Molecular Characterization and Conservation of Highly-traded and Threatened Medicinal Plants in the Central Western Ghats. Funded by National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB), New Delhi, 2018-2021.

This project aims to identify high yielding lines / clones of prioritized species and to evaluate / validate the levels yields. Specifically, developing a bank of high yielding clones, assessing the parent-clone and parent – offspring correlation, and mass propagating the validated clones and progenies. Further, methods for intensive cultivation conditions and sustainable methods of extraction through sustainable harvest and coppice- based systems would be standardized.
