Received the Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Conservation Biology Asia Section

In 2016, ATREE received the Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) Asia Section, in recognition of ATREE's extraordinary contributions to conservation of biodiversity and capacity building for sustainable development in India. 

The award commends ATREE's 250+ research projects covering sites across India and other South Asian countries and ATREE's doctoral program in Conservation Science and Sustainability Studies with over 60 PhD students, current and former.

The award will be presented at the closing ceremony for SCB-Asia Section and Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation Asia-Pacific Chapter (ATBC Asia-Pacific) joint conference, Conservation Asia 2016 in Singapore on 2 July, 2016 Evening.
